Overview

1. Introduction to Resource Request

The Resource Request feature group allows users to proactively submit requests for additional new resources or trial resources without needing to contact or wait for a sales representative. You can request to purchase new resources or increase your service quota quickly through the FPT Portal interface.

This article provides information on how to create a resource request and what you should consider before creating and managing your submitted requests.

2. Things to note before creating a resource request

  • VPC: For accounts with VPC Owner permissions, customers can only select the VPC assigned to the service as New or that specific VPC. For accounts with Tenant Owner permissions, customers can select all VPCs within that Tenant or a New VPC to assign to the service. However, selecting a VPC is not mandatory when creating a request.
  • Start date/End date: The start date and end date of each service may differ. The start date must be a date after the current date (the date the request is created) and the end date must be after the start date. However, you are not required to select a start date/end date. FCI will confirm the start and end dates of the service with you, so you can rest assured if you do not include this information in the request ticket.
