Networking Overview

The FPT Smart Cloud (FCI) network system provides a comprehensive solution for enterprises, enabling the flexible and secure construction and management of cloud network infrastructure. With Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) as the foundation, the system supports internal resource connectivity, network segmentation via Subnets, and external access through Floating IP. Security tools such as Security Groups help control and protect resources, while Identity & Access Management (IAM) ensures proper user permissions. Secure connectivity between on-premise networks and the cloud is maintained via VPN Site-to-Site, and the Load Balancer efficiently distributes traffic to ensure high performance for enterprise services and applications.

The current FCI architecture is designed to accommodate a wide range of requirements, from traditional network systems to virtual private networks, or even specialized models such as No-gateway.

With the No-gateway model, customers can set up their own system managed through a server acting as a router, such as a Check-point firewall. In this configuration, IPs are assigned directly to the server, and all traffic is routed through Check-point without going through the gateway provided by FCI.
