Q: What is FCD?
FCD stands for FPT Cloud Desktop, a cloud-based desktop virtualization service developed by FPT Smart Cloud.
Q: Which devices are suitable for connecting to FCD?
Devices used to connect to the virtual desktop (Local Device) include:
- Desktop PC, Laptop, ThinClient, or MiniPC
- Smartphone for two-factor authentication
These devices must have an Internet or LAN connection.
Q: Can the FCD virtual machine configuration be upgraded?
Yes, depending on each company's policy. Upgradable configurations include: CPU cores, RAM (Memory), and disk capacity.
Q: Can I install new applications on FCD?
If you are granted Administrator privileges on the virtual machine, you can install applications outside the default list. If you do not have Administrator privileges, please contact your IT Admin for assistance.
Q: Where are my data files? How are they stored and for how long?
Your data is securely stored on the FPT Cloud Desktop system. You can access files in the Desktop and Documents folders of the chosen operating system. User accounts will be disabled and deleted in accordance with your organization's policy when a request is made to revoke the virtual machine assigned to you.
Q: Can a single user log in from multiple devices at the same time?
A single user can log in from multiple devices, but only one device can access the virtual machine at a time.
