Budget Alert helps you build a proactive budget monitoring system — tracking cloud costs in real time and sending notifications when spending reaches a defined threshold. This is especially useful for controlling cloud costs across daily, monthly, quarterly, or annual periods.

Create a budget and configure alerts

  • Set budget amounts for daily, monthly, quarterly, or annual periods based on actual usage or projected end-of-period spend.
  • Select and define resource groups to monitor against budget limits.
  • Configure alert thresholds and notification methods (system notification or email) based on your needs.

View budget history and alerts

  • Track actual costs, the variance between actual and budgeted amounts, and projected end-of-period costs.
  • Review alert history with content based on the configured thresholds.
