📄️ Guide on SmartConsole
This section covers how to manage CheckPoint – FPT NGFW through the SmartConsole application, including accessing SmartConsole, installing policies, creating objects, firewall rules, NAT rules, investigating logs, and managing Blades and accounts.
📄️ Access SmartConsole
Step 1: Download and install the SmartConsole software from the official link.
📄️ Install Policy
Any changes made in SmartConsole must be published and installed via Install Policy before they take effect.
📄️ Create object
Objects define the hosts, network ranges, ports, and other entities used when setting up rules.
📄️ Create firewall rule
Step 1: In the Menu, select Security Policies (Ctrl + 2) > select Access Control > select Policy.
📄️ Create NAT rule
Step 1: In the Object Pane (F11) > find the object to SNAT > right-click and select Edit.
📄️ Investigate logs
Step 1: In the menu, select Logs and Monitor (Ctrl + 3) > in the New Tab view > select Audit Log View.
📄️ Manage Blades
Step 1: In the Menu, select Gateway and Servers (Ctrl + 1) > select Gateway > click Edit.
📄️ Manage accounts
Step 1: In the Menu, select Manage and Settings (Ctrl + 4) > select Permissions & Administrators > click New.
